Contract/HourlyPOSITION OVERVIEW: The Graphic Design & Social Media Specialist will design and create content for social media, marketing, and fundraising initiatives. Approximately 60% social media content creation & management, and 40% assisting the Marketing Director with graphic design. Responsible for designing helpful, engaging and valuable content to promote CIS of Michigan’s mission while translating national branding standards to visual expression.QUALIFICATIONS:• Experience with mission-based organizations or in education• Post-secondary education in Graphic/Fine Art Design, Marketing, Digital Design, or related field• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Canva• Extensive experience managing social media (reels, videos, stories) on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn• Experience designing digital content (websites, newsletters)• Ability to work independently, multi-task, manage time effectively• Strong writing skills for social media; creativity and attention to detail• Commitment to CIS of Michigan’s mission; ethical storytelling• Strong problem-solving skills; portfolio with relevant workESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Create social media content (images, reels, videos, stories and written content)• Plan/schedule/publish posts to maintain a consistent presence• Monitor channels, respond to comments/messages, engage community• Create designs for digital and print; copy changes, proofreading; press-ready content• Follow brand standards; collaborate on creative direction; perform admin tasksWORKING CONDITIONS:• 10–15 hours/week (varies seasonally); meetings during business hours; regular email communication• Contractor holds own Adobe Creative Suite license; special projects may include nights/weekendsSALARY AND BENEFITS:• Work from home 100%• Hourly Rate: $25–$30 (based on experience/efficiency)Job Type: Contract | Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour | Benefits: Flexible scheduleWork Location: RemoteView posting and apply at: https://www.indeed.com/job/graphic-design-social-media-specialist-af5664565936cebb
