Job Title: Detroit/Oakland County Partnerships Director. Reports to: Detroit/Oakland County Regional Director. Classification: Full-Time, Exempt. Position Overview: The Detroit/Oakland County Partnerships Director is a member of the regional team responsible for the overall planning and supervision of partnership development and schoolwide events throughout CIS of Michigan schools in the Detroit/Oakland County Region. Works directly with Program Directors and school districts to determine appropriate partners, volunteers, and events aligned with school support plans. Partners with the Manager of Community Giving and Events on onboarding, training, and recruitment of volunteers; researches and vets potential partners; connects partners to staff; coordinates partnership agreements and background checks; conducts routine check-ins; problem-solves challenges; and organizes appreciation events and communications. Additional responsibilities include submitting stories for social media and external communications, supporting events in schools, attending community events to represent CIS of Michigan and connect with partners, setting up Partner Showcases, creating and maintaining resource guides, maintaining the statewide resource guide, attending monthly team meetings, and communicating regularly with Student Support Coordinators and administrative staff. Qualifications: Recommended 3+ years in partnership development or volunteer recruitment; 3+ years in social service/education programs or school settings; 3+ years in program budgeting; experience with Google Sheets and donor/volunteer tracking systems (e.g., Sage Intacct); strong knowledge of the CIS Integrated Student Support (ISS) model; experience working with children and adolescents; commitment to educational equity; adaptability; excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; strong relationship-building and networking; ability to work with leaders across CIS, communities, and school districts. Working Conditions: Frequent travel across the Detroit/Oakland County region (Detroit, Eastpointe, Ferndale, Pontiac, and future communities); reliable transportation; hybrid work environment; consistent attendance; ability to meet deadlines; administrative positions are year-long.
