Communities In Schools of Central Texas is seeking a Front Office Assistant for our administrative office located in Austin, TX. The Front Office Assistant provides vital support for both employees and guests, and we are currently seeking someone exceptional for this role. The ideal candidate is dependable and reliable; a problem-solver who has excellent communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and experience working in an office environment performing administrative tasks and providing support to coworkers. The regular work hours for the Front Office Assistant are Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 7:00pm.

What we offer:
CIS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The starting salary range for this position is $3,333.34/mo. Salaries are determined by qualifications and relevant experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and midpoint depending on experience and in alignment with internal equity.

What you’ll bring:
- Previous administrative or customer service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Experience handling multiple tasks in a responsible and reliable manner
- Experience working with word processing, spreadsheets, and emails, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
- Collaborative team member
- Experience interacting with a diverse population
- Ability to observe business etiquette and maintain a professional appearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- English/Spanish speaking ability is strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
What you’ll do:
- Manage the front-desk and reception area, serving as the first point of contact for guests, employees, job candidates, and vendors
- Greet employees and guests in a friendly, professional manner in person or by telephone and connect them with the appropriate staff or services that will best serve their needs
- Assist with supplies inventory and provide weekly updates on office and kitchen supplies
- Provide information as requested both internally and externally regarding CIS activities and resources
- Maintain a reception area that is neat and makes employees and visitors welcome
- Open and close front desk according to standard procedures
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as answering and directing phone calls, and handling incoming and outgoing mailings, and receiving deliveries
- Maintain accurate schedule for conference rooms and organization’s shared calendars
- Provide ad hoc support to staff members and departments, including on-site meetings, large mailings and projects
- Copy and collate materials as requested/schedule through the Print Shop
- Promote and maintain agency culture, standards, and systems
- Participate in the CIS team approach to service delivery and problem solving
- Other duties as assigned by Central Office Manager or Chief Administrative Officer
Reporting Structure: This position is supervised by the Central Office Manager.
Work Location: This is a full-time position. Scheduled to work Monday through Friday; 10:00am to 7:00pm at the CIS central administrative office in Austin, TX.
