Supervises: May supervise after the first ninety days of employment.
Starting Range: $6,275.00/monthly ($75, 300.00/yearly)

Position Summary
The HR Director of Talent Strategy and Benefits provides strategic leadership for the organization’s talent
acquisition and employee benefits functions. This role ensures the attraction, hiring, and retention of top talent
while designing and administering competitive, compliant, and cost-effective benefits programs. The Director
partners with senior leadership to align recruitment and benefits strategies with organizational goals and
workforce needs
What You’ll Do
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
• Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy aligned with organizational and workforce
plans.
• Lead and manage the recruitment team, including recruiters and hiring support staff.
• Oversee full-cycle recruiting for exempt, non-exempt, and leadership roles.
• Partner with leadership to forecast staffing needs and develop talent pipelines.
• Ensure equitable, inclusive, and legally compliant hiring practices.
Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
• Strengthen employer branding and recruitment marketing strategies.
• Enhance the candidate experience from application through onboarding.
• Build relationships with external partners, schools, agencies, and professional organizations.
Benefits Strategy & Administration
• Design, implement, and administer employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement,
leave, and wellness programs.
• Ensure benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational philosophy.
• Oversee annual open enrollment and employee benefits communications.
• Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA).
• Monitor regulatory changes and recommend program updates.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, and Payroll to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy.
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Analyze recruitment and benefits metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, benefits utilization).
• Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership.
Budget & Vendor Management
• Develop and manage recruitment and benefits budgets.
• Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
• Ensure effective use of resources and return on investment.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent and benefits strategy.
• Coach managers on effective hiring practices and total rewards communication.
• Lead change initiatives related to recruitment systems, benefits programs, or organizational growth.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related
field is required (Master’s degree in Human Resources, Educational Leadership, or similar preferred).
• 8–12 years of progressive school leadership and/or experience in district or departmental leadership, with
significant focus on employees, leadership, and management.
• 5+ years of leadership or employee management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
