Reports to: This position is supervised by the Director of Volunteer Engagement & Youth Enrichment Programs
Supervises: May supervise volunteers, work-study students, interns, or VISTA members as appropriate
Salary: $ 4,000/month ($48,000 / annual)

Position Summary
CIS of Central Texas is currently seeking a Youth Enrichment Coordinator. This role supports the successful delivery of CIS summer programming by ensuring that daily operations run smoothly, youth experiences are engaging and well-structured, and staff and partners are aligned. Working under the guidance of the Director of Volunteer Engagement & Youth Enrichment Programs, the Youth Engagement Coordinator serves as a key connector across program sites, balancing logistics, relationships, and program quality to create a safe, enriching environment for students.
This is a grant-funded position expected to run through August 2027 with the possibility of extending through Summer 2028 based on performance and available funding. There may be an opportunity for transition into a full-time, permanent role
What You’ll Do
Youth Enrichment Services
- Coordinate and support the implementation of youth enrichment activities, family engagement events, incentive programs, field trips, and out-of-school-time programming.
- Assist with the development, organization, and distribution of Youth Enrichment activity kits, camp materials, and program resources.
- Develop and prepare marketing and promotional materials for youth enrichment programs, camps, activities, and events in collaboration with department leadership.
- Research, coordinate, and book field trips, guest presenters, community experiences, and enrichment opportunities for students and families.
- Serve as a chaperone for field trips, special events, and youth enrichment activities as assigned.
- Coordinate registration information and promote free and sliding-scale camps, enrichment opportunities, and community resources available to students and families.
- Support the planning and execution of Back-to-School events and other agency-wide family engagement initiatives.
- Assist with collecting participant feedback and program data to support evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
Program Operations & Resource Management
- Manage the Youth Enrichment Lending Library, including inventory tracking, reservations, distribution, returns, maintenance, and organization of materials and equipment.
- Order, organize, and maintain department supplies, program materials, and activity resources.
- Create and maintain systems to track inventory, supplies, equipment usage, and program materials.
- Prepare activity materials, supply kits, and event resources for youth enrichment programs and special events.
- Coordinate logistics related to youth enrichment activities, including transportation, vendor communication, facility reservations, and event preparation.
- Assist with maintaining program records, participation data, and required documentation.
General Responsibilities
- Support the creation and implementation of Youth Enrichment trainings for staff, interns, volunteers, and partners.
- Assist with the development of Youth Enrichment activity kits, camp curricula, lesson plans, and program resources.
- Support department communication efforts through the creation and distribution of marketing materials, flyers, newsletters, and promotional content.
- Research and share information regarding free and sliding-scale camps, community resources, and enrichment opportunities for students and families.
- Participate in cross-departmental planning, collaboration, and problem-solving efforts.
- Promote and maintain agency culture, standards, and systems.
- Participate in department meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Volunteer Engagement & Youth Enrichment Programs and the Community Outreach & Youth Enrichment Specialist.
What You Bring
- Experience working with youth and family
- Ability to coordinate and facilitate cross-collaborative work groups for multiple teams, contractors, and vendors
- Ability to budget, create, and manage bookings and reservations, negotiate contracts and fees with vendors, and pay invoices
- Experience managing inventory and using systems to track and manage supplies and materials
- Ability to track and assess data for reporting purposes
- Ability to coordinate and facilitate cross-collaborative work groups for multiple teams, contractors, and vendors
- Strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Forms, Teams, and Excel, as well as experience with technology, including online survey tools and event/participant tracking systems
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes and minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- CPR certified
- Reliable transportation is required
